The invention relates to a U-shaped clamp for fixing columnar steel bars. The U-shaped clamp comprises a fixing plate, two steel bars are symmetrically welded on the fixing plate, the steel bars are 30 mm-50 mm away from end parts of the fixing plate, the two steel bars and the fixing plate form a U-shaped structure, circular truncated cones are arranged at end parts of the steel bars, annular grooves are formed in outer walls of the circular truncated cones, and a fixing groove is formed in the side, opposite to the steel bars, of the fixing plate. The columnar steel bars are fixed by the U-shaped clamp and then tightly hooped by a columnar steel bar template, so that the columnar steel bars are prevented from moving, the common problem of movement of steel bars in the building industry is solved, and the U-shaped clamp has the remarkable advantages of simple construction operation, high universality, cycle use, high work efficiency and the like.
