The invention discloses an intelligent door lock and an identification method for lock state and unlocking legality thereof. The intelligent door lock comprises a lock hole, a lock body, a communication control device, a cloud server and a hand-held terminal, wherein the lock body comprises a lock tongue, a centre sate identification device and an identification device for inside and outside handles. The lock body is used for identifying the states of a dead bolt and a latch bolt and identifying an unlocking action conducting on the inside handle or on the outside handle. When the lock state and unlocking legality are identified, the feedback information is uploaded to the cloud server and the hand-held terminal through the communication control device, and corresponding control instruments such as constrained locking or alarming are sent out through the cloud server and the hand-held terminal according to the feedback information, so that the security and convenience of the intelligent door lock system are improved greatly.
