The invention relates to an engineering mechanical chassis, wherein the tire travelling or the crawler travelling can be adopted and the complex terrain operation and the rapid movement and transfer can be achieved. A rapid plug connector is connected with a hydraulic and control system of an upper vehicle and a hydraulic and control system of a lower vehicle, a driver selects a driving mode according to the actual condition, a crawler operation mode is adopted on a complex terrain work site, a tire driving mode is selected during transfer or the rapid movement is required, the tire driving mode comprises two-wheel driving, four-wheel driving and three steering modes of two-wheel steering, four-wheel steering and inclined driving, and accordingly the multiple driving and steering modes of a vehicle under the tire driving mode can be achieved and the trafficability is high. According to the tire and crawler composite multi-steering-mode chassis, the functions of the tire driving and the crawler driving are integrated into a whole and accordingly the engineering mechanical vehicle can work on the complex bad site and can be transferred and move on the highway rapidly.
