The invention provides a rotation assisting mechanism. The rotation assisting mechanism has a sliding door supporting function when the sliding door is in an opened state. The rotation assisting mechanism of the sliding door comprises: a lance (13) arranged at one side of the sliding door and a frame body for rotatably supporting the sliding door; and a receiving unit (30) arranged at the other side of the sliding door and the frame body, wherein the lance (13) is guided from a capture beginning position to a capture ending position when the sliding door is closed in order to assist the closure of the sliding door, the receiving unit (30) is provided with a supporting arm (35) for supporting the sliding door when the sliding door is in a predetermined opening angle state, and the supporting arm (35) is supported on the receiving unit in a mode that the supporting arm (35) moves between a non-acting position repeating the relative movement locus of the lance (13) from the capture beginning position to the capture ending position and an acting position blocking the relative movement locus.
