The invention relates to a door and window auxiliary frame and an installation method thereof. After the door and window auxiliary frame is arranged, the integrity between the door and window auxiliary frame and a wall is stronger, and the connection between the door and window auxiliary frame and a successively arranged outer frame is firmer; the door and window auxiliary frame comprises a body part, wherein the two sides of the body part are respectively provided with an I-shaped connecting part, an upper plate body and a lower plate body which are transversely parallel are arranged between the connecting parts, a plurality of baffles which are longitudinally arranged are connected between the upper plate body and the lower plate body and a left cavity, and a middle cavity and a right cavity are at least formed; the left and right inner side walls or upper and lower inner side walls of the cavities are connected with convex ribs which are distributed in a cavity length direction. Compared with the prior art, the door and window auxiliary frame provided by the invention has the technical effects: (1) water retaining bars can be formed by the I-shaped connecting parts and can be integrally formed with the door and window auxiliary frame, so that the installation process can be simplified; (2) a composite material can be arranged in a hollow cavity, so that the mechanical intensity is better; (3) the door and window auxiliary frame is convenient in step, and labor hours can be saved.
