The invention discloses a tail gate of a water trough. The tail gate comprises a support beam, a fixed plate and a movable plate. The support beam is fixed onto the water trough. Bosses extend along two sides of the fixed plate. The fixed plate is fixed onto the water trough by means of the bosses. Two sides of the water trough are provided with grooves, in which the fixed plate and the movable plate are located. A pair of racks is arranged on the movable plate. Motors are arranged on the support beam and connected with rotary shafts sleeved by gears. The gears are engaged with racks. Water outlets are arranged in the movable plate and the fixed plate. The tail gate of the water trough has following beneficial effects: the motor drive the gears to rotate and the gears drive the racks to move so that the movable plate is driven to move; therefore, the water outlets are covered by the movable plate and the fixed plate for realization of water level adjustments; small-flow small-opening-degree and large-flow large-opening-degree adjustments can be satisfied; and due to the fact that the fixed plate is fixed onto the water trough by means of the bosses and the movable plate is positioned by a guide rail, the movable plate and the fixed plate are conveniently installed and detached.
