The invention discloses a gate opening and closing planetary reduction gear. The gate opening and closing planetary reduction gear comprises a motor, a planetary gear set, a hand-operated drive assembly and a public gear set. An inner gear and an outer gear are arranged on a gear ring of the planetary gear set. The public gear set comprises a shared transmission shaft and a first gear arranged on the shared transmission shaft. A planet carrier is fixedly connected with the shared transmission shaft. The hand-operated drive assembly comprises a worm, a worm wheel, a second gear and a handle driving the worm to rotate. The worm is meshed with the worm wheel which is coaxially and fixedly connected with the second gear. The second gear is meshed with the outer gear. A first brake is arranged on a fixing shaft of a sun gear. A normally-closed second brake is arranged on the motor. When a power supply system or the motor fails, the first brake is closed manually. A normal electric drive system and a fault manual drive system are separated and do not influence each other. No special switching operation is needed for switching of electric operation and manual operation.
