The invention discloses a novel side-hung window which comprises a window inner frame, a window outer frame, a pull rod, a sliding block, a sliding groove and a stopping block, wherein the pull rod comprises a short pull rod, a middle pull rod and a long pull rod; the sliding block is arranged inside the window outer frame, and the sliding groove is formed in the window outer frame; one ends of the short pull rod and the middle pull rod are connected with the sliding block; one end of the long pull rod is connected with the window outer frame; the other ends of the short pull rod and the long pull rod are connected with the lower edge of the window inner frame; the other end of the middle pull rod is connected with the middle part of the long pull rod; the stopping block is arranged inside the window outer frame; the stopping block is positioned between the end points of the middle pull rod and the long pull rod. The novel side-hung window is simple in structure, easy to open, convenient for double-side cleaning, and durable.
