The invention relates to an overall longitudinal movement device for a railway turnout. The device is characterized in that 5-15 pairs of longitudinal movement flat cars are arranged below to-be-moved turnout sleepers and arranged in the linear direction of turnout rails, and the lower surface of each longitudinal movement flat car is located on a grooved foundation bed directly or through a wooden sleeper; each longitudinal movement flat car comprises a support and rolling devices, and rolling end surfaces of the rolling devices bulge out of the upper surface of the support. The longitudinal movement device is reasonable in design, light to use, time-saving, labor-saving, safe and reliable; a longitudinal movement method can fundamentally solve the problem of high probability of construction delay due to longer skylight time occupied by erection and dismounting when simple rails are used for conventional longitudinal movement of the railway turnout.
