The invention provides a sliding door buffer and relates to the field of door buffers. The sliding door buffer solves the problems that larger force is required to be exerted when a door with an existing door buffer is opened and closed, door opening and closing are strenuous, and inconvenience is brought to people. The sliding door buffer comprises a casing, a release piece, a sliding body, a push rod, gas springs, a tension spring and an adjustment spring, wherein a kidney-shaped groove is formed in the release piece; a pin is arranged on the sliding body; gas spring clamping grooves and a tension spring clamping groove are formed in the left side of the sliding body; a groove is formed in the lower side of the push rod, and the adjustment spring is arranged in the groove; a guide column is fixed at the left end of the adjustment spring; a guide groove is formed in the casing; a release groove is formed in the left end of the guide groove; right ends of pressure rods of the gas springs are clamped in the gas spring clamping grooves; the right end of the tension spring is clamped in the tension spring clamping groove. With the adoption of the sliding door buffer, a part of tension can be offset through the two opposite springs in opening and closing processes of a door, so that more labor is saved when people open and close the door.
