The invention discloses a production method of a light wall tile, relating to the technical field of building ceramic manufacturing. The raw materials include 5-10 parts of high-temperature sand, 30-40 parts of low-temperature sand, 5-15 parts of talc mud and 15-50 parts of ceramic polishing waste. The method comprises the following steps: mixing the raw materials with water, adding the mixture into a ball mill and performing ball milling; sieving the slurry, spraying the slurry into powder and decaying while controlling the water content; performing dry pressing on the powder by use of a press to obtain a green body; putting the green body onto a base plate through a vacuum adsorber; and delivering the green body together with the base plate into a roller kiln and firing to obtain the finished product, wherein the firing temperature is 1,120-1,250 DEG C, and the firing time is 50-70 minutes. Compared with the prior art, the production method has the advantages that the waste ceramic polishing waste is thoroughly used, the environmental pollution caused by the waste is eliminated, and the effective utilization rate of the resource is improved; and moreover, the produced wall tile is light and has high strength.
