The invention discloses a light wallboard for a building. The light wallboard comprises a light wallboard body, wherein the left side and the right side of the light wallboard are respectively a tenon and a tongue-and-groove, matched with each other, wherein a groove is longitudinally formed in the length direction of the tenon, a sealing strip of a flexible material is installed in the groove, one part of the sealing strip is arranged in the groove, and the other part of the sealing strip is exposed out of the groove. After the tenon and the tongue-and-groove are spliced, the sealing effect is good, and the sound insulation effect is also improved. The invention also discloses a flexible connection method of the light wallboard for the building, every two adjacent light wallboards are flexibly connected with each other by virtue of the sealing strip, the junctions between each light wallboard and upper and lower floor slabs and a door-window in the middle of the wall body are respectively sealed by utilizing a polyurethane foaming material, and the self adaptability of the light wallboard is improved by virtue of the flexible connection method.
