The invention provides a transverse lateral movement parking apparatus and relates to the traffic parking assisting facilities. The transverse lateral movement parking apparatus mainly comprises a rack unit, a second-layer moving trolley unit and a carrying plate unit. A transmission mechanism of the second-layer moving trolley unit of the transverse lateral movement parking apparatus is arranged on the inner side of the rack unit. After lifting up a vehicle in place, the carrying plate unit stops and stays on the inner side of the upper portion of the rack unit, so that the area of space occupied by the transverse lateral movement parking apparatus is effectively reduced. Compared with conventional parking apparatuses, the parking apparatus is firmer and occupies less space, thereby being a convenience apparatus capable of effectively solving the problem of difficult traffic parking.
