Preparation method for zirconium carbide powder
The invention relates to a preparation method for nanometer zirconium carbide ceramic powder, which belongs to the field of preparation of ceramic powder. The preparation method comprises the following steps: dissolving zirconium oxychloride in water, adding absolute ethyl alcohol or polyethylene glycol, adding carbon black, carrying out stirring to prepare suspension of carbon black, then dropwise adding or pouring a prepared precipitating agent, carrying out stirring, subjecting a precipitate to vacuum pumping filtration or press filtration, washing a filter cake and then drying the filter cake so as to prepare precursor powder; and placing the prepared precursor powder in a graphite crucible, placing the graphite crucible in a vacuum furnace and carrying out a heating reaction in a vacuum or argon atmosphere so as to obtain zirconium carbide powder, wherein reaction temperature is 1400 to 1800 DEG C. A zirconium source and a carbon source in the prepared zirconium carbide powder closely contact each other; the problem of nonuniform mixing caused by density difference among raw materials in traditional mechanical mixing method is overcome; a deposition product has small granularity and high reaction activity, so synthesis temperature is low; and the prepared zirconium carbide powder has the characteristics of high purity, small granularity, low preparation cost, etc.
