The invention relates to a strengthening method for a strip foundation. The method comprises the steps that a vertical well is excavated in the horizontal direction; a horizontal construction passageway is excavated from the bottom of the vertical well to the position under the strip foundation, a support steel cylinder is arranged in the horizontal construction passageway, and a hole is formed in the upper portion of the support steel cylinder; foundation soil under a crack is removed upwards from the hole, and a space is formed between the crack and the hole; the foundation soil on the bottom surface and in the crack of the foundation is swept, adhesion agents are painted in the crack; a jacking device is arranged under the crack and driven to move upwards to enable the crack to be closed; filling slurry is injected into the space, and when the filling slurry is fully solidified, foam concrete is poured into the support steel cylinder; after final setting of the foam concrete is achieved, the excavated foundation soil is backfilled in the vertical well. According to the strengthening method for the strip foundation, closing of the crack and strengthening of the foundation bearing capacity are achieved, and the safety of upper buildings is guaranteed.
