A flint clay based unshaped refractory material for rocket launching stand is mainly composed of aggregate, refractory fine powder, and high aluminum cement, and is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 20 to 35% of flint clay with a particle size of 6-35 M, 20 to 35% of flint clay fine powder with a particle size not more than 100 M, 5 to 25% of cordierite with a particle size of 0-1 mm, 10 to 30% of high aluminum cement, and 2 to 10% of silica fume. The prepared flint clay based unshaped refractory material has the characteristics of good thermal shock resistant property, good weatherability, high strength, environment-friendliness, and energy saving, and can tolerate the flushing of tail flame gas flow of rocket.
