The invention discloses a method of automatically pumping water in a water tower by a pipeline. According to the method, no utility pole or wire is required, and mounting a wireless signal transmitter and receiver is no required either. Water pressure of a reservoir is transmitted to an inflow pipe through a thine pipe, interior pressure of the inflow pipe is detected with a pressure meter, and the water level of the reservoir is thus deducted; when the reservoir is of low level or high level, namely the pressure meter reaching to a first pressure or a second pressure, the pressure meter converts a pressure signal into an electrical signal, a water pump is started or stopped, and thus automatic water pumping or cut-off is achieved for the water tower. Compared with the traditional water tower technique, the method is safer and more durable, is higher in reliability and needs less labor and financial resources.
