The invention discloses an extra-high-voltage alternating current split linear tower, and belongs to the technical field of iron towers for power transmission lines. The extra-high-voltage alternating current split linear tower comprises a first sub tower, a second sub tower, four first insulating strings and two second insulating strings, the first sub tower and the second sub tower are arranged on respective foundations respectively, and the position of the foundation of the first sub tower is lower than that of the foundation of the second sub tower. The four first insulating strings and the two second insulating strings are connected with a lead of an extra-high-voltage alternating current power transmission line, so that lead load applied to the first sub tower and the second sub tower is lower than that applied to an existing umbrella-shaped linear tower, the lengths of long tower legs of the first sub tower and the second sub tower can be effectively controlled under the topographic condition of upslope, and further safety of the first sub tower and the second sub tower is ensured.
