The invention relates to a cornstalk concrete lightweight aggregate preparation method. The concrete lightweight aggregate preparation method which is low in price, saves energy and is environmentally friendly is provided for rural areas in the northern area in China for overcoming the defect that a large number of resources and energy sources are consumed for traditional lightweight aggregates. The method comprises the following steps that water is adopted for wetting cornstalk aggregates in advance; an emulsion type adhesion agent is adopted for spraying and dipping; the cornstalk aggregates and cement dry powder are stirred and wrap particles in advance, and first-class coal ash with the 30% cement content is added as a mineral admixture; a plastic film is adopted for covering and health keeping for more than 48 h; a waterproof agent is sprayed; after drying is performed, the mixture is used as coarse aggregates for forming the lightweight aggregate concrete.
