The invention provides biological ceramsite which comprises solid raw material and liquid raw material in parts by weight: 100 parts of solid raw material and 5-40 parts of liquid raw material; the solid raw material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of fly ash, 1-5 parts of a plasticizer, 0-20 parts of slag and 0-5 parts of a pore former; the liquid raw material comprises the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of water glass, 5-40 parts of alkali metal hydroxide and 1-20 parts of water. The biological ceramsite product is high in strength and through-hole rate, not damaged easily, rough in surface, large in specific area, beneficial for biofilm colonization and used for sewage treatment and preparation of building blocks and light concrete, and has extremely high promotional value.
