The invention discloses a self-thermal-insulation building block which comprises the following components in parts by weight: 20-30 parts of Yellow River silt, 25-30 parts of Yellow River cement, 10-15 parts of fly ash, 30-45 parts of coal gangue, 5-7 parts of SiO2, 0.5-2 parts of CaO, 1-1.5 parts of Al2O3, 2-5 parts of Fe2O3, 0.2-1.5 parts of TiO2, 1-4 parts of MgO, 1-4 parts of K2O, 1-5 parts of Na2O, 1-3 parts of B4C and 10-15 parts of ZrC. The self-thermal-insulation building block has the advantages of high resource comprehensive utilization ratio, land saving, obvious effect, favorable fire resistance and long service life, and the thermal-insulation effect achieves the energy saving standards of 50% for national publish construction and 65% for domestic construction. The self-thermal-insulation building block lowers the production cost by 30-40 yuan per square meter, shortens the construction period by 1/3, and eliminates the common faults in quality generated by the traditional wall making method.
