The invention discloses a carbonaceous pellet and its preparation method. The preparation method of the carbonaceous pellet comprises the following steps: mixing powdered carbon, carbonate and a binder so as to obtain a first mixture; mulling and stirring the first mixture; carrying out compression moulding treatment on the first mixture which has undergone mulling and stirring so as to obtain a moist pellet; and airing the moist pellet so as to obtain the carbonaceous pellet. The carbonaceous pellet prepared by the method has high porosity and fixed carbon content.
