The invention discloses a novel exhaust water pipe which comprises a water pipe main body composed of a transverse water pipe and a longitudinal water pipe; an odor-resistant device is connected between the transverse water pipe and the longitudinal water pipe; the odor-resistant device comprises an installation pipe which connects the transverse water pipe with the longitudinal water pipe and a step pipe which is coaxial to the installation pipe and is arranged in the installation pipe; the lower end of the step pipe is hinged with a lever; a catch adaptive to the opening end of the step pipe is fixed at one end of the lever; a weight of which the moment is larger than that of the catch is fixed at one end, departing from the catch, of the lever; based on a lever principle, when the novel exhaust water pipe is in use, water flow enters into the upper part of the catch to thrust aside the catch to flow out, the weight presses the lever after the water flow goes by the catch so that the catch covers the opening of the step pipe so as to block gas having peculiar smell at the lower end of the step pipe. As compared with the conventional odor-resistant structure of the exhaust water pipe, the odor-resistant device of the novel exhaust water pipe is more compact in structure and is further improved in stability.
