The invention discloses an aerated concrete block manufacturing method which comprises the steps that water is added to steel slag tail mud, superfine slag powder, cement and exciting agents according to the preset matching to be mixed and evenly stirred with the mixture, and dry mixed powder is obtained; aluminum powder is added to the mixed powder to be stirred continuously, and the mixture is injected into a die after being evenly mixed; curing and foaming are conducted on the mixture at the room temperature of 20 DEG C-40 DEG C for 2-3 hours, and an aerated concrete block sample is obtained; the aerated concrete block sample is cut into blocks through a steel wire cutting machine, and aerated concrete block test blocks are obtained; autoclaved curing is conducted on the aerated concrete block test blocks for 8-10 hours, and the aerated concrete block is obtained. By means of the method, the problems that a great amount of steel slag tail mud is piled, occupies plenty of land and pollutes the environment can be solved effectively, and the manufactured aerated concrete block is low in cost and excellent in product quality compared with an ordinary aerated concrete block.
