The invention discloses a preparation method of an acid-resisting alumina based ceramsite fracturing propping agent. The method comprises the following steps that 1, the agent comprises, by mass, 83-99% of aluminium oxide, 0.01-10% of compound of rare earth ytterbium and 0.1-15% of composite additives, the sum of the mass percent of raw materials is 100%, and the compounds or minerals of calcium, magnesium and silicon serve as the composite additives; 2, the materials prepared in the step 1 are placed into a ball mill device for conducting ball milling for 15-50 hours; 3, after pulp obtained in the step 2 is dried, the dried pulp is subjected to prilling for manufacturing green bodies; 4, the green bodies obtained in the step 3 are sintered at the temperature ranging from 1000 to 1500 DEG C, and the green bodies are subjected to thermal insulation from 0.5 to 2 hours and cooled to indoor temperature. According to the standard SY/T5108-2006, a test is conducted on a finished product, the acid solubility can be as low as 0.345%, and the industrial standard (<=5.0%) is achieved. According to the preparation method, the sources of raw materials are wide, ordinary industrial equipment is adopted, the process is simple, the industrial production is facilitated, and the prepared ceramsite propping agent is good in acid resistance.
