The invention discloses a temperature stable microwave dielectric ceramic material with medium dielectric constant. The chemical formula of the material is (Zn0.95Mg0.05)ZrNbTaO8. A preparation method of the ceramic material comprises the steps: firstly proportioning ZnO, MgO, ZrO2, Nb2O5 and Ta2O5 according to the chemical formula (Zn0.95Mg0.05)ZrNbTaO8, ball-milling, drying and screening the mixture, pre-sintering the mixture at 700-850 DEG C, and then ball-milling, drying and screening the mixture and pressing the mixture by a pressure to prepare a blank; and sintering the blank at 1150-1280 DEG C to prepare the microwave dielectric ceramic. According to the temperature stable microwave dielectric ceramic material disclosed by the invention, the dielectric constant epsilonr is 28.42-31.86, the quality factor Q*f is 85345-92745GHz, and the temperature coefficient of resonance frequency Tf is (-8.56-3.85)*10<-6>/DEG C. The preparation process is simplified, the time is shortened, and the energy cost is lowered.
