The invention discloses an inorganic dry powder paint composition and an application method thereof. The inorganic dry powder paint composition comprises the following components in parts by weight: 1-1.2 parts of hydroxyethyl cellulose, 0.8-1.2 parts of hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose, 1.2-1.5 parts of polyvinyl alcohol, 1.2-1.5 parts of redispersible latex powder, 0.1-0.2 part of organic silicon, 0.2-0.5 part of an antifoaming agent, 4-6 parts of nano silica, 4-6 parts of titanium dioxide, 10-15 parts of white cement, 30-50 parts of light calcium powder and 40-60 parts of heavy calcium powder. The inorganic dry powder paint composition is internal and external wall coating treating paint which has a hydraulic property and is composed of natural ultrafine powder and high molecular polymer, is powdery, non-toxic, and odourless, does not contain formaldehyde or VOC (volatile organic compound), and has an excellent filling property, an excellent binding property and an excellent application property, thereby being ideal wall surface coating paint.
