The invention discloses zirconia foamed ceramics. The zirconia foamed ceramics are prepared from the following ingredients in percentage by mass: 10-30wt% of cubic-phase zirconia staple fibers, 55-75wt% of zirconia powder, 8-12wt% of foaming agent, 0.5-1.0wt% of forming agent, 0.3-0.5wt% of binder and 2.0-3.0wt% of sintering aid. The invention also discloses a preparation method for the zirconia foamed ceramics. Compared with the existing foamed ceramics, the zirconia foamed ceramics have the advantages that the bending strength is higher, the mechanical properties are better than those of the current zirconia foamed ceramics, requirements of wider application can be met, and the range of use of the foamed ceramics is enlarged. Furthermore, the preparation method is simple and is applicable to industrial production.
