The protection material contains the following raw materials of 8 wt%-20 wt% of carbon black, 7 wt%-24 wt% of lithium carbonate, 2 wt%-8 wt% of boric acid, 3 wt%-13 wt% of titanium dioxide, 2 wt%-7 wt% of aluminum oxide, 1 wt%-3 wt% of boron nitride, 0.2 wt%-2 wt% of chloride, 0.5 wt%-1.5 wt% of cellulose, 2 wt%-8 wt% of polyethylene glycol, 1 wt%-6 wt% of pitch, 0.1 wt%-3 wt% of a surfactant and the balance water. The protection material forms a stable protection coating film on the surface of the magnesia carbon bricks, the consumption of the magnesia carbon bricks is reduced, the service life of ladle is prolonged, the production cost is reduced, and meanwhile use is very convenient.
