The invention discloses an underpinning method for a lower bridge of an open-cut tunnel. The underpinning method comprises the following steps: under the bridge, enabling Bailey beam bearings (2) to support a transverse steel support (1) of the bridge, and arranging a jack between the transverse steel support (1) and each of the Bailey beam bearings (2); pouring supporting piles (3), regulating the jacks under the steel support (1) so as to transfer the load on the Bailey beam bearings (2) to the supporting piles (3), arranging a new bearing platform (4) between piers, arranging underpinning piles (5) under the new bearing platform (4), and arranging a jack between the new bearing platform (4) and each of the underpinning piles (5) so as to regulate the settling of the piers through the lifting of the jacks; and enabling supporting seats or steel cushion blocks to replace the jacks so as to perform supporting. According to the underpinning method disclosed by the invention, the supporting is performed in a multi-point manner, the load is transferred in a classified manner, and the whole body of the bridge is uplifted by a method of respectively reinforcing the bridge and the piers. During excavation, a distance between a pier and a cast-in-place pier is short, a Bailey beam is used for preventing the setting of the piers, so that the effect of reinforcing the bridge is ensured, and besides the normal driving of a vehicle is not influenced by the underpinning of the bridge.
