The invention discloses a steel pipe pole for an electric transmission line. The steel pipe pole comprises a steel pipe pole body, connecting flanges and a foundation. The foundation comprises concrete and a framework inside the concrete. The framework comprises a spiral bar, main reinforcement bars and steel rings. The main reinforcement bars are arranged on the edge of the spiral bar. The steel rings are arranged at the upper ends of the main reinforcement bars. The connecting flanges comprise the flange A and the flange B. The flange A is connected with the steel pipe pole body. The flange B is connected with the upper portions of the steel rings. The flange A and the flange B are connected through bolts. Concrete pouring is adopted for the foundation of the steel pipe pole; compared with a traditional steel foundation, the cost is greatly reduced, and the using period is prolonged by more than one time. The flange A and the flange B are flexibly connected, flexible flange connection needs no stiffening rib, and therefore many installation steps are omitted on the condition of ensuring connection safety. Influences of welding on a pole tower are reduced to the lowest, and therefore constructors can control the quality of the pole tower more accurately.
