The invention provides a beam column joint structure constructed through a steel annular plate and a method of the beam column joint structure. The steel annular plate is arranged on the outer side of a steel pipe on a concrete steel pipe column. The steel annular plate comprises an annular body and connecting plates arranged on the outer side of the annular body. The concrete steel pipe column comprises a steel pipe. The annular body is fixedly arranged on the elevation positions, corresponding to an upper skin main rib and a lower skin main rib of a structural beam, on the steel pipe in a sleeving mode. The upper skin main rib and the lower skin main rib of the structural beam are fixedly connected with the corresponding connecting plates at the lower portion respectively. The steel annular plate is provided with through holes and/or grooves for column main ribs of the concrete steel pipe column to penetrate through; the problem that the passing difficulty of steel bars at the beam column joint position is large can be solved, accordingly, the construction difficulty can be simplified, and the construction efficiency can be improved; due to the fact that according to the structural beam, force is transmitted to the steel pipe through the steel annular plate with the connecting plates, the acting force or the load exerted on the structural beam can be effectively and reliably transmitted to the steel pipe, and the load capability of the beam column joint structure is obviously improved.
