The invention discloses a hand cranking mechanism of a winch type opening and closing machine and belongs to the technical field of winch type opening and closing machine gate driving equipment. According to the technical scheme, the hand cranking mechanism of the winch type opening and closing machine comprises a machine shell, a driving shaft and a driven shaft. The driving shaft and the driven shaft are arranged in the machine shell. A friction plate fixed to the driving shaft, a ratchet wheel and a gear I are sequentially arranged in the axial direction of the driving shaft. The end, stretching out of the outer side of the machine shell, of the driving shaft is provided with a crank. The hand cranking mechanism has the beneficial effects that the gear I and the ratchet wheel rotate anticlockwise by rotating a rocker arm; the gear I gets close to the friction plate through rotation of internal threads and is locked; and stability is high. When a gate is in a locked state, the gear I and the friction plate are still locked, the ratchet wheel is clamped through a pallet, and the ratchet wheel is prevented from rotating clockwise. When the gate descends, the rocker arm rotate clockwise, the gear I breaks away from the friction plate through rotation of the internal threads, the ratchet wheel breaks away from the pallet, and the gate can ascend and descend when power failure happens.
