The invention provides a roof capable of being opened and closed in a rotating mode. The roof comprises an annular supporting base with a middle opening, a rotating shaft arranged on the annular supporting base, and a rotatable roof module used for opening and closing the middle opening of the annular supporting base, and the rotatable roof module is rotationally connected to the rotating shaft, rotates along the rotating shaft and can cover the opening of the whole annular supporting base. The roof capable of being opened and closed in the rotating mode can be automatically opened and closed. When the roof is opened, the lighting, ventilating or hoisting requirement of a building can be met. When the roof is closed, the windproof and rainproof requirements of the building can be met.
