The invention discloses a steel slag added ceramic floor tile with a thermal insulation function. The ceramic floor tile is characterized by being composed of the following raw materials in parts by weight: 4 to 6 parts of asbestos powder, 6 to 8 parts of muscovite, 30 to 50 parts of converter steel slag, 20 to 25 parts of talcum powder, 5 to 10 parts of kaolin, 15 to 25 parts of wasted glass micropowder, 1 to 2 parts of hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose, 2 to 4 parts of sodium silicate, 2 to 4 parts of zinc oxide, 5 to 8 parts of brown sugar, 0.1 to 0.3 part of polyvinylpyrrolidone, and a proper amount of distilled water. The added asbestos and muscovite enhance the thermal insulation function of floor tile. Moreover, muscovite can enhance the compatibility between the biscuit and the glaze and improve the product quality. The preparation technology has the advantages of little pollution, low production cost, and simple operation. The produced floor tile has the advantages of good thermal insulation property and wide application range, and is worthy for promotion.
