The invention discloses a front end-mounted compaction wheel device for a road roller, which comprises a wheel body I, a wheel body II and compaction wheel frames, wherein the wheel body I is positioned in front of the wheel bodies II; the compaction wheel frames are positioned at two sides of the wheel body I and the wheel bodies II; head gears, transfer gears and tail gears are arranged in each compaction wheel frame; two through holes matched with recovery boxes are formed in each compaction wheel frame; the wheel body II is composed of a plurality of small wheel bodies; each small wheel body is composed of more than one roller section; the side edge of each roller section is sequentially provided with a plurality of rotating shafts; a rotating rod is sleeved between two adjacent rotating shafts; the axle center of the wheel body II is provided with pressure sensors corresponding to the roller sections; a rubber ring is arranged between the roller sections of each small wheel body and the pressure sensors corresponding to said roller sections; and the periphery of the roller sections is sleeved with fixing sleeves. The compaction wheel device for the road roller has the advantages that the structure is novel, workers in an operation room can know the flatness condition of the pavement in real time, agglomerated dirt can be avoided, and the flatness is high.
