The invention relates to a scissors latticed type hollow building block and application thereof. The structure of the scissors latticed type hollow building block is that semicircular through hole structures are arranged at the periphery of a block body; a supporting column is arranged at the middle in the block body; X-shaped crossed through holes are respectively formed in the two sides of the supporting column. The building block disclosed by the invention can be used as a template; as the weight is light, and the working procedures are easy to operate, the time and the cost for supporting the template are reduced. The building block can be also used as a heat preservation material; after concrete is poured into the scissors latticed type hollow building block, concrete slurry enters pores of the building block to form an integrated permanent structure, so that the service life of the concrete slurry is as long as that of a wall body, and the scissors latticed type hollow building block is a permanent structure.
