The invention relates to a support device for building construction. The support device for the building construction comprises a base, a shear type lifting mechanism is arranged on the upper portion of the base, the shear type lifting mechanism comprises a front connecting shaft, a rear connecting shaft, a lead screw and two same sets of shear type mechanisms which are arranged on the two sides of the base respectively, each shear type mechanism comprises a sliding bracket and a fixed bracket, an upper shear rod of each sliding bracket is connected with an upper shear rod of the corresponding fixed bracket in a crossed and hinged mode, a lower shear rod of each sliding bracket is connected with a lower shear rod of the corresponding fixed bracket in a crossed and hinged mode, the front connecting shaft is connected with the sliding brackets at the two sides, the rear connecting shaft is connected with the fixed brackets at the two sides, the lead screw penetrates through the front connecting shaft through a threaded through hole, the tail part of the lead screw is fixed to the rear connecting shaft, the head part of the lead screw is provided with a crank, and the upper portions of the shear type mechanisms are provided with a working platform. According to the support device for the building construction, electric power devices and hydraulic power devices do not exist, noise produced by the power devices does not exist, and the construction environment is made to be more comfortable; the crank is rotated to drive the front connecting shaft and the rear connecting shaft to move, and lifting and descending of a footstock are achieved, the structure is simple, and the cost is low.
