The invention discloses a skein twisting head positioning device of a rebar tying machine. A skein twisting head is provided with a hook and a plurality of sections of connecting bones, wherein a hook cover is arranged on the first section of connecting bone; the lower end of the hook cover is provided with a hook cover reset spring; the top end of the hook cover tightly presses the projected end surface of the hook; a front extending-out end of the hook is in a hook shape; a guide hook rail matched with the skein twisting head is approximately in an S-shaped curve; permanent blocks are separately arranged on the side surface of the guide hook rail; the connecting bones can pass through a cavity formed inside a fixing rod; when the extending-out end of the hook cover is in contact with the end surface of the fixing rod, the hook cover is disconnected with the projected end surface of the hook; a spiral assembly comprises a spiral rod and a spiral sleeve; the spiral rod is connected with the fixing rod; a cavity is formed inside the spiral rod; a skein twisting head reset spring is connected onto the tail section of connecting bone and the spiral rod; a compression spring hollowly sleeves the spiral rod; an axial long hole is formed in the fixing rod; a pin shaft passes through the axial long hole and a hole formed in the tail section of connecting bone; the two extending-out ends of the pin shaft protrude out of the surface of the fixing rod; and the guide hook rail is fixedly connected with the fixing rod. The skein twisting head positioning device has the advantage that the skein twisting head position can be accurately changed.
