The invention discloses a combined type bidirectional hydraulic hoisting dam and a use method thereof. The combined type bidirectional hydraulic hoisting dam is provided with a hydraulic device, a rotary shaft, a dam body and oil paths connected with an oil supply mechanism, wherein the dam body is fixedly installed on the rotary shaft; the rotary shaft is installed on a bearing pedestal in a rotating mode; a first piston is of a hollow structure, and a second piston rod extends into a through hole of the first piston rod and can slide in the through hole; the end, away from the bottom of a cylinder barrel, of a second piston rod and the second sealing rod are sealed; the second piston rod is connected with the dam body; the oil paths are each provided with an oil pipe led into a rod cavity and a rodless cavity. The dam can be put down smoothly even when blocked by sundries, the manufacturing cost is low, and machining is convenient.
