The invention discloses a conveyor method and device and relates to the field of pneumatic pipe conveying. The conveyor method and device aim at solving the problems that a connection structure between a cover and a cylinder of a conveyor is complex and operation is inconvenient. The conveyor comprises the cylinder and a key. The cover is fastened at a port of the cylinder and provided with a supporting portion. The cover is supported at the port of the cylinder through the supporting portion. A lock is fixed in the cover in a penetrating mode. A lock hole for inserting of the key is formed in the end, facing the outside of the cover, of the lock, and a lock tongue is arranged at the end, facing the inside of the cover, of the lock. At least one stopping block portion is arranged on the inside of the port of the cylinder. The key is inserted into the lock hole in a rotary mode. When the lock tongue rotates to the lower sides of the stopping block portions and abuts against the lower sides of the stopping block portions, the cover is locked on the cylinder through the lock tongue and the stopping block portions. The conveyor method and device are applicable to the conveyor of a pneumatic pipe conveying system.
