The invention provides a device for digging square or rectangular holes/slots. The device comprises a transmission shaft, a rectangular metal block, a chain-shaped annular ring sleeving the exterior of the rectangular metal block and a gear mounted on the transmission shaft, wherein the thickness of the transmission shaft is smaller than the height of the rectangular metal block; a cylindrical hollow cavity is dug downwards in the rectangular metal block from the upper center point at a certain diameter; a circular notch used for mounting the gear and capable of moving up and down is formed in the middle of the cylindrical hollow cavity; a through hole for passing of the transmission shaft is also formed in the middle of the bottom of the rectangular metal block; the side wall of the notch of the rectangular metal block is through; the gear is meshed with the chain-shaped annular ring sleeved with the exterior of the rectangular metal block at the through part of the side wall of the notch; the chain-shaped annular ring is driven to rotate around the rectangular metal block; the gear is driven to rotate by the transmission shaft; the gear is meshed with the chain-shaped annular ring to drive the chain-shaped annular ring to rotate, thereby enabling a cutter to rotate and cut walls and wood boards, so that a square or rectangular deep slot or hole is formed; the deep slot or hole is regular in edge.

The invention provides a device for digging square or rectangular holes/slots.
