The invention discloses a sand-wall stone-like building coating which includes following raw materials: 55-60 g of artificial color sand, 2-5 g of a modified inorganic thickening agent, 2-5 g of other additive, 10-15 g of an inorganic hybridized silicone sol modified emulsion, and 10-20 g of water. The other additive is a mixture composed of one or more than two of an odor covering agent, a matte powder, a construction modifying agent and a flatting agent. The building coating is prepared with the artificial color sand, the modified inorganic thickening agent and the inorganic hybridized silicone sol modified emulsion as main components. By means of a construction method of 45-degree-inclined spray-coating, the novel wall surface coating, which is matted, is antifouling, is weather-resistant, is free of whitening, is lower in use amount and is free of a finishing process. The method solves a problem that industrial Yuhua stone-like technology and glossed sand-wall stone-like building coating are liable to float. Meanwhile, the method is free of a matte finish process.
