The invention discloses high-strength zirconium boride ceramic and a preparing method thereof. The high-strength zirconium boride ceramic is characterized by being prepared from, by weight, 90-120 parts of zirconium boride, 1-5 parts of aluminium oxide, 2-7 parts of kaolin powder, 0.8-2 parts of zirconium oxide, 1.5-4 parts of calcium oxide, 2-6 parts of titanium dioxide, 1.8-3.5 parts of antimonous oxide, 0.6-3 parts of carbon fibers, 0.05-0.3 part of surface active agents, 0.5-3 parts of polyethylene, 25-30 parts of absolute ethyl alcohol, 2-5 parts of glycerinum and 65-75 parts of deionized water. By means of the high-strength zirconium boride ceramic, the breaking tenacity, strength, density and abrasive resistance of the ceramic are improved; the high-strength zirconium boride ceramic is simple in process, raw materials are convenient to obtain, and the use range of the zirconium boride ceramic is broadened.
