The invention relates to the field of rammers, in particular to an improved dynamic compaction hammer which comprises a hammer body. The hammer body is provided with a cylindrical steel plate casing, the hammer body casing is filled with reinforced concrete, the hammer body is provided with a plurality of vertically through air holes, each air hole is of an inversely funnel-shaped structure with a small upper port and a large lower port, the diameter of the upper port of the air hole is 1/9 that of the hammer body, and the diameter of the lower port of the air hole is 7/45 that of the hammer body. The bottom surface of the hammer body is a round plane, and the number of the air holes formed in the hammer body is equal to an integer value of the base area of the hammer body with square meter as unit. The shapes of the air holes in the hammer body are optimized on the basis of the prior art, the cylindrical air holes are modified into the inversely funnel-shaped air holes, and the improved dynamic compaction hammer has the advantages that 1 rammed soil does not enter the air holes easily; and 2 even if entering the air holes, the rammed soil can be cleared more easily.
