The invention discloses a dam foundation corridor for an earth-rock dam with a deep-thick covering layer and a construction method of the dam foundation corridor. The dam foundation corridor comprises a riverbed corridor section and bank slope corridor sections on two ends of the riverbed corridor section, wherein the riverbed corridor section is arranged on a riverbed covering layer, and the bank slope corridor sections are formed in a manner that the end parts of the riverbed corridor section are obliquely and upwards arranged on the surface of a bank slope covering layer, on which the surface soil is cleared, along the slope surface of the bank slope covering layer. The method is applied to the construction of the dam foundation corridor for the earth-rock dam with the deep-thick covering layer. By arranging the bank slope corridor sections, the excavation volume of the bank slope covering layer is decreased, the construction period is shortened, and the building construction of the dam foundation corridor is benefited; meanwhile, by decreasing the excavation volume of the bank slope covering layer, the consumption of dam body filling materials of the earth-rock dam is decreased; furthermore, the dam foundation grouting construction and the dam body filling of a bank slope section can be synchronously carried out, so that the linear working period is not occupied; besides, by virtue of the dam foundation corridor, the overhaul and the monitoring of a dam body, a dam foundation and a seepage prevention wall of the bank slope section are facilitated during the operation of the earth-rock dam.
