The invention discloses an inspection shaft with a fire hydrant being hidden. The inspection shaft comprises an inspection shaft base body and an inspection shaft cover, wherein the inspection shaft cover is arranged on the top opening of the inspection shaft base body; a box body is connected with the outer side of the inner wall of the inspection shaft base body; the box body is communicated with the inspection shaft base body; a sealing cover hinged to the end part of the box body is arranged at the connecting part; the fire hydrant and a rolled water hose are arranged in the box body; the fire hydrant penetrates through the wall plate of the box body and is connected with an underground fire fighting water supplying pipeline. With the adoption of the inspection shaft with the fire hydrant being hidden, the fire hydrant is hidden in the box body, therefore any harmful effects on the road traffic is avoided, the protectiveness is good; besides, during use, a fireman can enter the inspection shaft base body by a crawling ladder bracket, the rolled water hose can be taken out, after the sealing cover is opened, to be connected with the fire hydrant for fire fighting, the operation is convenient, water flow with a high pressure is provided by the fire hydrant and the dredging of sewers is facilitated.
