The invention discloses an inner truss type steel pipe concrete T-shaped column and a construction method thereof. The inner truss type steel pipe concrete T-shaped column comprises an outside steel pipe, an inner truss, and filled concrete, wherein the inner truss is roughly a column-shaped frame including T steels, an inner truss subunit welded by the T steels, and strips welded to a web adjoining the T steels and longitudinally along the T steels; the cross section of the outside steel pipe is pi-shaped or '-'shaped; a wrapping steel pipe is fixed and connected with a flange slab of the T steels to form a column with a cross section being T-shaped. The specially-shaped column has advantages of high bearing force and strong steel plate stability; furthermore the inner truss cannot divide the column cross section, which is convenient for casting concrete; the inner truss type steel pipe concrete T-shaped column does not need formwork and steel bar, and is quickly and conveniently constructed.
