The invention relates to the technical field of ceramsite production, in particular to basalt ceramsite. The basalt ceramsite is composed of, by weight, 30-70% of bauxite, 5-15% of basalt, 5-10% of manganese powder, 5-15% of ceramic grinding wastes and 15-30% of clay. The basalt ceramsite has the advantage that production and application cost can be effectively reduced on the basis of guarantee of performance indexes.
