The invention provides a vertical column with fixing positions for overcoming a defect in a flexible retaining wall vertical column. The vertical column is characterized in that the side surface of the vertical column is provided with at least one hole; the vertical column is selected from a flat column and a column with reinforcing ends at two ends; the hole is selected from an oblique elongated hole and a hole with two high ends and a relatively low middle portion; an included angle between the oblique elongated hole and the long side of the flat column is alpha, wherein 0<=alpha<90 DEG; and compulsive arranging the two high ends of the hole with the two high ends and the relatively low middle portion in a same height is not required.
